It is the eve before a big trip. My feet tap with anticipation, Keri is pacing, Meowzers is sleeping.

This trip has been a year in planning after Keri's childhood friend first asked us to join. We've all had our requisite shots, and in our carry-on luggage bottles of pills rattle.

New Year, new goals
Hopefully our preparation and a bit of luck will see Keri and I checking off the first of our 2018 goals from our wall board. That goal reads "Summit Kiss".

Where are we going?

Smiling now that packing is done
Some place below the equator,  home to one of earth's Seven Summits. A country with the world's largest amount of protected lands.  A place that is "one continent, but many countries."

Follow along on Instagram and maybe there will be brief glimpses of our journey, however the prospect of ditching access and stashing the phone for a few weeks is highly appealing. You'll have to wait and see.

In the mean time, enjoy a few images from our friend, Faith's, creative venture. Her show gave us a different reason to tap our feet and kept us up late enough to allow eager minds to sleep. Not to mention the music is great and the photographic challenge stimulating.

Till the next posting....

  1. May God bless and keep you both on your journey. Have a great time and take care of each other. I love you!

  2. Reading your blog is so much fun, Jesse. I get to relive your trip without the heat and dust, but also without the great adventure of being there! I'm looking forward to part 2.
